Top Three Mrs. Obama Inaugural Gown Pics

My Bubbling readers it’s exciting times…

President Obama was officially sworn in today as POTUS  for four more years. The Inaugural Ball is tomorrow, and Mrs. Obama is sporting bangs as a fresh entrance into 2013 and prepping to look good for festivities ahead. Whether you voted for him or not, we still have to pray for our President and his family. He is making very important decisions for our country.  Okay, I am off of my platform now, and onto Michelle Obama’s bangs.

Bangs can be hard to take care of.  However, I am sure that Mrs. Obama’s stylist goes along with her; so taking care of the new look should not be a problem. I always thought that Mrs. Obama looked youthful and I think this look is fresh and different. If she doesn’t want to wear the bangs one day she always comb her bangs to the side or sweep her hair up in a chignon and part her bangs in the middle, the styles are endless.

The Inaugural ball is tomorrow and I wanted to share some of my top three pics that I think would look lovely on the First Lady.

1. Naheem Khan

This beaded chiffon gown makes a stunning entrance. I could see her dancing the night away in it.  Naheem Khan’s designs have been seen quite a few times on the First Lady so it may be at ball.

2. Zac Posen

I simply love the way the deep pink color of the dress below lights up a face. Mrs. Obama would look so gorgeous in this dress. I am so a stickler for clothes fitting a woman correctly and this dress fits in all the right places.

3. Michael Kors

This Michael Kors ruched one shoulder silk gown is a show stopper. All eyes would be on the First Lady, the color of this gown is the pantone color of the year. This gown is so figure flattering because it would show Mrs. Obama’s fit arms and would cinch her in at the waist and then the dress would flow so romantically.  The amulets on each arm of the model is to chic however Mrs. Obama could wear a  tahitian  pearl necklace and wear her hair up in a chignon or high bun.

I really see beautiful clean lines in each of these gowns and I know they would flatter Mrs. Obama beautifully.

What do you think she will wear to the Inaugural Ball?

Stop the presses, I keep coming back to this gown.  It’s mesmerizing, so gorgeous.

Naheem Kahn Dresses Michelle Obama

Naheem Kahn is a fashion designer that is very popular with celebrities.  He was born in Mumbai, India and started his line Naheem Kahn in 2003. I love his designs because they are simply beautiful.

Michelle Obama recently wore one of Naheem Kahn’s creations at a Governor’s Dinner at the White House and she looked gorgeous.  She could rock the red carpet in a minute.  The dress in the photo below is only shown from the waist up of Mrs. Obama so you don’t see it full length but I know it must be jaw dropping because this photo of her looks so pretty. The bead work is so intricate and detailed and the fabric tie on the shoulder is such a feminine touch.

Mrs. Obama wore this ivory cream color dress with ivory beadwork.   The dresses are so flattering on Mrs. Obama’s figure. I don’t know if Mr. Kahn has actually met Mrs. Obama; but he sure does know how to design beautiful dresses that look striking on her.

One of my favorite Michelle Obama looks was when she was speaking at a poetry workshop in 2011. The skirt is a conversation piece all by itself, the tank makes the look more casual but dressy casual.  I love that she chose green pumps as a complete contrast  to the overall outfit.  I am all over the jewelry so I love the bunches of bracelets on the arm, I probably would of put on a necklace but she really doesn’t need it because the skirt pops so.

Here’s a video that shows how Naheem Kahn brings his creations together. Very inspiring. These beads are sewn on by hand so making a gown takes extensive time.

 Naheem Kahn Spring/Summer 2012 Collection

I had to show some eye candy from Naheem Kahn’s runway shows from 2012 spring/summer and 2012 fall/winter.

The dresses and gowns are so flowing and classy sexy. Spring and Summer 2012 is all about vibrant color, the brighter the better. What’s your favorite Naheem Kahn design Mr. Kahn makes you stand out from the crowd when I see his designs, no carbon copy here.

His fall/winter collection has sequins, beads, flowing fabrics and rich color and textures.

As high end as he is Naheem Kahn actually had a line on Hsn.com called timeless.  I recently looked at the HSN website and his whole collection is on clearance so if you want to take a look and possibly get a good deal check out HSN.com.

First Lady Mrs. Obama and the McQueen Dress Controversy…

Huffington Post

There’s been a lot of controversy over the Alexander McQueen dress that First Lady Michelle  Obama wore at a White House formal dinner hosting Chinese President Hu Jintao. Yes, it was a European designer and the United States is trying to make ways to get the clothing industry back with so many jobs have been outsourced to foreign countries. In the past, Mrs. Obama has spotlighted up-and-coming American fashion designers. However, the remarks made by Sally Singer of T Magazine for the New York Times was completely unnecessary and out of line. Point blank.

On February 3rd Sally Singer said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show that the dress did not fit or flatter Mrs. Obama well and that she was to old for the dress and it should of been worn by a younger diminutive woman. Younger and diminutive!  OMG!  Did I say OMG?  Yes, OMG!

The video below spotlights Sally Singer’s opinion about the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress for the first part of the video. It then delves off into men’s leggings.

The First Lady looks awesome in the dress and for Ms. Singer to say that Mrs. Obama is too old to wear the dress is not only a harsh remark to all women over the age of 40.  You mean to tell me that an over 40 diva cannot wear an off-the-shoulder, full-length dress?  That is simply preposterous.

Diminutive
The First Lady is statuesque and holds her own in this dress. Why would she need to be diminutive? Why are we putting women in a box to be regurgitated out to be this specific size, height and shape?
Ms. Singer needs to think before she speaks because I noticed that no one in the video spot agreed with her.  She was all by herself with that comment. When will we, as a society, feel freedom in being happy with what ever shape or size a woman is? To put a woman in a box to say she needs to look like this and be this height or weight continues the stereotyping and size bashing.

Enough is Enough…..
