Wow! Over 100 degree temperatures non-stop. Standing in prayer, believing this heat wave will stop right now. To beat the heat, I love to wear cool dresses in natural fibers. This dress I pulled out of one of my containers because it was perfect for temperatures over a 100 degrees. The paisley print dress is 100% cotton. It’s cool, breathable and machine washable. Aesthetically I felt this dress was super cute and it fits in all the right places. Functional and fashionable.
I wore the dress to work and I added a blue gauze shirt and wore it like a jacket. Offices can sometimes feel chilly so the weight of the blouse was perfect.
My sandals are from Clarks with the turquoise accents really caught my eye.
You might of seen this dress before in my blog, I continually say it’s a wonderful thing when you can buy good clothing that will last for years and stand the test of time.
Jewelry is a must when it comes to me accessorizing an outfit. My cameo bracelet and the spongy coral ring gave a contrast of color that really gelled with the blue paisley print of the dress.
If you are working with the same tones in a outfit try bring contrast with jewelry or a belt or jacket. My red jasper necklace was another contrast of color that made the outfit a splash of color.
So when it comes to beating the hit dresses are here to stay. Try natural fibers because they are breathable and cool.
This is a lovely dress. Its so ladylike. I think pairing it with the coral jewelry and the turquoise on the sandals was a good idea…so fresh!
Thank you Lisa this dress is one of my favorites. I have had this dress for about three years now. I always like to work off of colors in my dress when it come to the jewelry.
I love that printed frock. You look lovely, but that bracelet is my favourite … so gorgeous!
Thank you. I area the bracelet is one of my favorites too. I will put in a post where I bought the cameo bracelet.
Hi honey, how are you? I was just thinking of you the other day! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I am so with you, I’ve just been swamped, mostly with kid stuff since both kids are out of school, and my blog reading is SO behind. But I wanted to stop by and say hi. You look gorgeous as usual, and what a unique cameo cuff. Where did you get it? I love it, did you make it by any chance? Do share because I love cameos and haven’t seen a cuff like that anywhere! XO, Jill
I am doing well Jill, it’s so hot in my neck of the woods. Thank you and I will do a post about the bracelet. It’s one of my favorites. I love cameos too.
Love your dress! I really like how you broke up the color and added the red.
Thank you Michelle, matching can be okay in certain instances but with this dress I wanted to mix it up a bit.
Beautiful prints on your outfit. The outfit looks comfortable and the color is lovely. I love those bangles and bracelets too , very unique yet pretty !
have a nice day,
The print on this dress is very cute. I am never crazy about showing my arms, but I am working on it to make them look better too. Now I could see me wearing this out and about or to lunch with girlfriends.
Where did you get that handbag?
