Lovin’ My Custom T-Shirt

Hello Beautiful People,

I recently had the opportunity to receive a custom t-shirt. I thought to myself about the many options available to me, I selected the design in the picture below.

You say, why did you choose that? Well, the thought of the love I have for the man who God sent to me, my husband. The design was so me and I really liked the color.

I paired the T-shirt with a black-and-white shirt and wore it to church this past weekend. I thought it was very cool with a printed skirt. The complete outfit looked well put together – a dressy causal outfit that was a unexpected twist. Not to mention adding my Dooney and Bourke handbag for extra style and pizazz.

The T-shirt is made of 100% Cotton. It is well-constructed and the quality of the cotton is very durable. I can see wearing it for a long while without any worries of it falling apart. I will be looking to add more these T-shirt into my closet.

I also styled  the custom T-shirt with my Isaac Mizrahi cotton lace skirt and Calvin Klein peep-toe wedge booties. The look is chic.

To Tommy From Zooey: Red and Blue Striped Dress

Hi Beautiful People,

I hope you are having a wonderful day. It has been a great day but it is very hot right now in my neck of the woods.

On these sunny warm days, I enjoy wearing mostly dresses because of their ease and coolness.

Last summer, my hubby and I traveled to San Francisco to visit my Uncle. We went to Macy’s and found a great deals on a couple of dress, including this ‘To Tommy from Zooey’ by Tommy Hilfiger. Zooey Deschanel team up with Tommy Hilfiger to design a line of dresses. I was able to find this one on the clearance rack, plus I had a coupon. What a great combination! It retailed for $139, but I only paid $35 for it. Oh yeah, what a deal!!

This side-zip dress is 100% Polyester and is fully line. In the photo above, I wore the dress to church last year. And in contrast, the photo below shows how I styled it this year.

Macy’s produced a television commercial for the new line, although my dress wasn’t featured. This dress is definitely a keeper because it so different and oh so girly.

The dress kinda brings out my inner cheerleader. The stripes in the skirt part of the dress are so flattering.

I am including my style essentials to show you how I how styled the dress.  I have worn it on several occasions, with my Santa Fe Indian Choker, an Italian Lire bracelet, an Italian Lire watch, and a pearl bracelet.  The accessories are endless when assembled with this dress. I almost forgot my Bob’s that I styled for Independence Day.

I can see myself transitioning into fall and winter in tights with this one.

Review: Citrus Clear Skincare

Hi Beautiful People!

I hope you are having a lovely summer.  When it’s hot, my hair goes up and I wear less makeup.

Because of the heat, I will at times have an acne breakout on my face. To keep the breakouts to a minimum, it is essential for me to keep my skin clean and to use products that do not clog my pores.

For my sensitive skin, I must to review the product’s ingredients to ensure that they do not irritate my skin. If I am not familiar with any of the ingredients, I will go online to determine what it is, if it is natural, or it has any unwanted side effects.

I was recently introduced to the Citrus Clear skincare products. I had the pleasure of reviewing five of the facial products.

Citrus Clear

Citrus Clear

The products that I tested for a two month period are:

Citrus Clear Sensitive wash natural Tahitian lime (8 oz)
Citrus Clear pore and blackhead extracting mask (2 oz)
Citrus Clear tangerine tingle (2 oz)
Citrus Clear Sensitive Moisturizer pink grapefruit (1 oz)
Grapefruit acne spot treatment (2 oz)

*These products were sent to me to try and provide my honest review.

The products I received are full-sized products and will last a long time with daily use.

My routine:

1. I washed my face with the Citrus Clear Sensitive Wash Natural Tahitian Line. The grapefruit scent is so refreshing in the morning or coming home from work. As the packaging directions recommended, I wash my face with warm water and massage lightly onto my skin. Rinsed. I used the cleanser day and night and  did not use it around my eyes because the directions didn’t say that you could use it there. I gently used my microfiber towel around my eye area. My skin felt good and not dry. I recommend this product. The eight-ounce bottle retails for $28.99.

Citrus Clear sensitive wash natural tahitian lime

Citrus Clear Sensitive Wash Natural Tahitian Lime

Ingredients: Organic Citrus Herbals, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, MSM, Lavender Hydrosol, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine (from coconuts), Cocamide MIPA, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Olive Oil, Vitamin C, Tahitian Lime Fragrance, Wildcrafted Willow Bark, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm, Orange Hydrosol, Citrus Lemon Essential Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Peppermint Essential Oil, Grapefruit Seed, Organic Rosehip Oil, Borage Oil, Oregano Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Calendula, Burdock Root, Red Clover, Rosemary, Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.

2. After I cleansed my face, I would either use the Citrus Clear Tangerine Tingle or alternate with the Citrus Clear Pore and Blackhead Extracting Mask.

Citrus Clear Tangerine Tingle Mask
This product is designed to remove dead skin cells and make the skin look brighter and face complexion look clearer. When I applied this product, I first washed my face with the cleanser in warm water, then I applied the product per the directions in a circular motion on my face to gently exfoliate the skin. I left it on my skin for 4 minutes, (you can leave it on for to  2 to 4 minutes). I felt the tingle because I left it on longer, however it felt good on my skin.  After the time of the mask on my face, I rinsed it off with cool water and patted my face with a towel.  My face was a little red because of the citrus extracts and the glycolic acid, but it went away in a couple of minutes. Again, it very refreshing,  this product I would use once a week or once every two weeks. A two-ounce jar retails for $18.99.

Ingredients: Organic Citrus Herbals, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Olive Seed, Tangerine Essential Oil, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, MSM, Jojoba Beads, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Vitamin C, Organic Rhubarb, Organic Blueberry, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Orange Hydrosol, Lemon Essential Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Peppermint Essential Oil, Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.

I used the Citrus Clear Pore and Blackhead Extracting Mask as an alternate mask to the Citrus Clear tangerine tingle mask for acne control.

Citrus Clear Pore & Blackhead extracting mask

Citrus Clear Pore & Blackhead extracting mask

I applied this product after I washed and gently dry my face. In a rotating motion, I applied the mask to my slight damp face.  I found with my face being slightly damp the clay went on well; but the directions say you can add it to dry skin as well. The mask began to harden quickly and I left it on for 5 minutes (you can leave the product on 4 to 8 minutes).  After five minutes I rinsed my face with warm water and used my warm towel and patted my face.  I enjoyed using it and my face felt soft and supple. The product is for sensitive skin. The mask retails for $24.99.

Ingredients: Organic Citrus Infusion, Organic Aloe Vera, Kaolin clay, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Cellulose Gum, Purified Smectite Clay, Vanilla, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm Extract, Orange Hydrosol, Lemon Essential Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin, Spirulina, Sea Kelp, Grapeseed Oil.

3. I applied the Citrus Clear Sensitive Moisturizer Pink Grapefruit, to my face and wow the pink grapefruit smells so good it makes you want to eat it but it’s not edible. The moisturizer is not greasy or oily and absorbs into the skin and doesn’t leave any residue nor does it feel sticky. A little goes a long way and the 20z. glass bottle will last a long time. The moisturizer retails for $24.00, and is currently on sale for $14.00.

Ingredients: Organic Aloe Vera, Palm Oil, Silk Protein Amino Acid Blend, Glycine, L-Alanine, L-Serine, L-Valine, L-Proline, L-threonine, L-Isoleucine, L-Histidine, L-Phenylalanine), Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Organic Safflower Oil, MSM, Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil, Vitamin C, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Wildcrafted Lemon Balm, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Orange Hydrosol, Lemon Oil, Citrus Lime Essential Oil, Mandarin Essential Oil, Orange Peel Extract, Peppermint Essential Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin B5, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Wildcrafted Green Tea, Citric Acid.

4. The Grapefruit Acne Spot Treatment is good for spot treatments if I have a blemish that comes up that I need to treat.  The tube is small enough to take with me. The tube retails for $12.99.

Ingredients: Organic Herbs, Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel), Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), Green Tea & Lime, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Wildcrafted Melissa Officinalis (Lemon Balm), Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit Seed Extract), Citrus Aurantium (Orange Hydrosol), Citrus Limon (Lemon Essential Oil), Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime Essential Oil), Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin Essential Oil), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange Peel Extract), Wildcrafted Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea Extract), Wildcrafted Salix Lucida (Salicylic Acid), Colloidal Silver, Eugenia Caryophyllata (Clove Essential Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.

STYLE ESSENTIAL: The Skort

Hi Beautiful people!

With temperatures reaching almost 100 degrees, it has been all about the natural fibers because comfort and chicness go hand in hand.
I wanted to try a skort that had a unique style, instead of the standard skirt in the front and shorts in the back.

But why a skort?
A skort is a short-skirt combo that works well if you are active and when you don’t have to wear a slip or a shaper.

In years back, I had a design like that but it was not comfortable and the fabric was very heavy. But this Summer, I added two skorts that offered a modern design that has become a workhorse in my closet.

JT in the Skort

JT in the Skort

The first one is a blue skort from designer Susan Graver, whose apparel line is sold exclusively on QVC. In the photo above, I paired it with a button-down blouse and sandals for a causal Monday outfit. But I believe that it is a wardrobe gem because it can be worn as a sporty look, to the office, to church or walking in a parade. I liked how this skort so much, I went back and purchased a second one in white.

This skort  is 95% cotton/5% spandex; with an inner layer of 95% cotton/5% spandex. It is breathable and comfortable and is priced at $45.00.

The second one is a polka dot skort, shown below, also works well for church or a day in the office. This skort, also designed by Graver for QVC, is 95% polyester and 5% spandex. This fabric combination is what she called Liquid knit. Although it is not a natural fiber; I thought the stylish print could be paired with a number of tops and blouses from my closet. The QVC price is $46.00 and you may catch it on easy pay.

The secret to the skort is the shorts underneath. I can be confident that if the wind blows or I have to bend that that nothing is showing. It is a beautiful thing to have the modesty intact.

Shorts underneath skort

Another feature is that the skort is an official skirt all the way around (not half skirt and half shorts in the back) with the shorts attached underneath.

Versatility comes to mind when I think of Susan Graver’s skort designs because they can be worn many different ways.

Ask Around
One of the first things you should do when searching for a locksmith service is to ask around to people you know for recommendations. In most cases, you will gather two or three names of potential locksmith services to learn more about. Remember, you should never trust the opinions of someone else completely. Take some time to complete your own research, as well, since this will help you make an educated decision regarding the service that you ultimately hire.

Do Some Research
Once you have a list of three to four potential locksmith services, you should begin to contact each one and ask them a series of questions. It is a good idea to ask the same questions to every company since this will help you judge their answers and evaluate which one seems the most reliable and professional. Some questions you can consider asking include:
— How long have you been in business?
— What types of services do you offer?
— Do you offer any guarantees with your work?
— Are the locksmith background checked prior to heading out to jobs?

These questions will help you evaluate the professionalism of the locksmith and whether or not they are right for the job you need to have done.

Hire a Service
Once you have found the service that is right for your needs, go ahead and hire them for the job. If you are facing an emergency situation, you may not have time to vet the service properly, but you can still look at past customer reviews to see their track record of success and service. Doing this, in addition to the other tips here, will help ensure you hire a quality and reliable service that will be able to provide you with the results that you need.
