Bob Mackie Cardigan….Love it!

I love color. It brightens the face and perks you up!  The weather is all over the place. Today is very mild, in the upper 40s. This coming week is to be even warmer, with forecasted highs in the 60s. I decided to highlight one of my clearance deals that is perfect for these types of winter days.  This Bob Mackie 3/4 length sleeve cardigan with embroidered and sequined detailing is on clearance for $29.96 plus tax on Qvc.com.  I so love getting good deals on great finds, priceless. I wore the cardigan to church today with a pair of black jeans and high heel clogs.

Look at the back.

So much drama and elegance in the back view as well.

JT wonders about taking pics

This picture above looks like I am feeling a bit self conscious about taking pics. Would you believe that I still am, but its getting better thank God. I had to realize that I have to be okay with the way I look.  I realized that I have to love myself entirely before I can love anyone else.  Big self hug; I needed that.

This cardigan is a combination of 60% Cotton and 40% Acrylic. This is a great combination because it’s really a comfortable blend and the embroidery work on the back has a thin netting wear it doesn’t rub on my skin so its very comfortable. It is perfect for those winter days that starts off cold; but warms up during the day. Even if the temperature reaches 60 degrees, it is still a chilly 60 degrees; And you need to make sure that you have enough on to stay warm.

JT Enjoying the day

These handmade clogs from Matt Bernson are about 4 1/2 inches high and they are so comfortable. My Dooney and Bourke bag is such a pleasure to wear I love the print. The design may not be available because even though it looks like new it’s about two years old. My sunnies are Jacqueline Kennedy inspired.

Getting my Fitness on! Zumba Exhilarate

I enjoy working out! After a long day, it is so nice to come home and put on my workout gear and dance. Yes, Dance! How can working out be dancing? But with ZUMBA!

I first started working out with Zumba last year and it has since become a regular part of my fitness routine. Working out with Zumba is never boring because there are so many different workouts in the program. You could have one for every day of the week.  One of my favorite workouts is the Zumba Exhilarate.  This workout is pumped from start to finish with heart-pounding cardio dance routines, featuring international rhythms and beats.

JT getting in to the moves

You can say to yourself, “Boy I gotta workout tonight!” However, as soon as you insert DVD and press play and the music starts, your mood will definitely change.  Zumba Exhilarate is so much fun that you will not even realize that you are burning some serious calories. See the sweat! Yes, sweat! That is no joke. It is fun; but it is most definitely a true workout.

Zumba Exhilarate is part of a six DVD set that I purchased from QVC. It is a 45 minute kick tush cardio explosion that works every body muscle.
Uno Dos Tres!

I must say there are some detailed dance steps in this workout, like belly dancing. If you are not a dancer, take it slow and follow the instructions because there are instructions. If you don’t get the moves at first, push pause and go back over it again. Practice, Practice, Practice. Don’t give up!

If you love to dance and want to get a good workout at the same time, Zumba Exhilarate is an awesome routine to try.

This is a stomp, stomp, step to the side

Let the music move you and get up and dance. Zumba is an experience that makes you feel so good when your done that you can’t wait to do it again. I will review the other DVDs in future post because workouts are pretty cool.

Rocking a headband!

I love to wear headbands because I can change my look in so many different ways.

JT wearing a Charm and Charlie Headband

I bought this headband at one of the Charm and Charlies stores here in town and it was on sale too. Sometimes you can get some really good deals on headbands because they can be quite expensive. It’s so cool to use a headband to spice up a simple bun.

I love wearing my new coat and black ensemble with my bow headband for a different way of chicness.

Do you like wearing hair accessories or do you prefer to go without them?

How To Add Pizazz to a White Shirt

I wanted to add some spice to my simple white button down shirt, kick it up a notch.

So I started thinking in my head what pieces I could coordinate with my shirt and my jeans.

JT with her doggies

I decided to add an animal print tank and a tweed jacket. The animal print tank is a combination of silk, nylon and viscose so it is so soft.

My Susan Graver jacket from QVC.com has metallic, yellow, blue, and black yarns in it with piping trim so it popped the outfit and took it up a notch.

I have had this jacket for at least three years and it looks as good as new. The jacket came with black pants; but I like to coordinate my jackets with other pieces in my wardrobe.

Lapis Earrings by Jay King

The hair sticks are from Claire’s and I have had them for years. My necklace is one of my favorites, the necklace is was a gift and the heart pendant enhancer is from Nolan Miller.

One of my new favorites is my Ellen Tracey metallic woven jeans, so slimming and love seeing the glitter.

My Dooney and Bourke bag in cherry red was a Christmas present so I am really enjoying it.

My cowboy boots are from Madden Girl and they are so comfortable and cute at the same time.

As you can see layering pieces of clothing from your wardrobe can take a simple white button shirt to another level.

Next time you have on a crisp button down shirt on, please let me know how you style it.

Until next time have a blessed and awesome week.

Add a Pop of Color!

Glad we are getting some cold weather because I have so many cute sweaters to wear. With all this mild weather that we have been getting, it has been too warm to wear them.

JT

I got a good deal on this embroidered Isaac Mizrahi cardigan. At first, I unsure how I wanted to style it. With the cardigan being a dark purple, I wanted to add a pop of color. I added a pink thin cable turtleneck. I did not want to accentuate my hips, so I am wearing dark thin wale brown corduroy pants. I added my Matisse boots since my pants were straight leg. I liked the brown, pink and purple combination of colors. It is unexpected and really makes the outfit pop!

JT's Italian Lire Jewelry gift from hubby

What you see behind me is a few my dolls that I have collected through the years.  I enjoy collecting Barbie dolls, Indian dolls, all kinds of dolls. I collect dolls of all nationalities. My genealogical heritage is Black, Choctaw Indian  and Caucasian so I collect all kinds of dolls. My collection isn’t a large one; but it is a good size for me. In a future a post, I will share some of my favorite dolls.
